Canberra's Ale Mary Brewing Co. is already a multi award winning independent microbrewery, founded late in 2022 by three local guys with one thing in common, a love of all thing’s beer. It was over a few beers that an idea was born. “We need to make craft beer for beer drinkers” was the line that started it all and from there we knew we had to build a brewery and share our passion… And in no time at all our journey began.

Ale Mary Brewing Co has recently been awarded a swag of medals at the prestigious Independent Brewers Association Craft Beer (Indies) and the Australian International Beer Awards (AIBA’s) picking up medals for our Heretic Hazy IPA, Tradies Draught, Bishop’s Best Bitter and Bricktop ESB. As well as our award-winning core range, we listen to our customers and brew seasonal varieties true to the style, so you know what to expect from the first sip.
Ale Mary Brewing Co now has five of your favourite varieties available in cans and more than 10 draught beers on tap in and around Canberra.
Community
When crafting our small batch brews, we have left over sweet, malted grain that local livestock absolutely love. Although it’s only a small amount each batch we have a group of local farmers from Royalla, Angle Crossing, Bywong and Tuggeranong that benefit from our brewing byproduct. In a country that suffers from severe drought, these farmers have the backing of you, the beer drinking community to see them through the hard times.
All of our base malt that we use in our beers comes from an artisan maltster about 4 hours west of Canberra in the heart of Riverina. It’s a long canoe ride but the majestic Murrumbidgee River provides physical connection between our brewery and the heart of our beers.
With Canberra having the best water in Australia and being so close to grain and hop growing regions we source what we need to make the best and freshest beer for the most discerning of beer drinkers. Ale Mary provides fresh Canberra small batch beer to local retail outlets, pubs and restaurants or you can have home delivery direct to your door.
